West Virginia man appears in magistrate court for murder, two charges move to grand jury
Looking into Hancock County, W.Va., Jordan Pager, who is accused of murdering his girlfriend Taylor Albert on Sept. 28, 2024, appeared in Hancock County Magistrate Court Thursday morning.
After an hour of testimony, two charges were moved to circuit court – first degree murder and second-degree murder.
Hancock County Prosecuting Attorney felt they were able to prove sufficient evidence showing Pager’s premeditated decision to kill Albert.
Ohio hospital to drive semi-truck full of donations to North Carolina due to Hurricane Helene
An Ohio health system is doing what it can to support those in need after Hurricane Helene North Carolina.
Trinity Health System collected donations to offer relief and support to those in need in Asheville, NC.
Trinity asked the community to help them fill a semi-truck Friday, Saturday, and Sunday and a driver will take the semi-truck with all the donations to Baltimore Church in Asheville on Monday, Oct. 7.
Ohio breaks ground on the first of its kind new mental health facility in the region that offers 24/7 crisis assessments
In Belmont County, Ohio, ground was broken on Wednesday for a new behavioral health urgent care and crisis stabilization unit in St. Clairsville.
It will be the first of its kind to serve Belmont, Harrison, and Monroe counties.
It’s part of a 90-million dollar push by Ohio Governor Mike DeWine to strengthen the state’s mental health services.
This behavioral health urgent care will provide professional treatment for bipolar, depression, anxiety, trauma, and stress-related crises.
WTRF'S Scott Nolte inducted into the West Virginia Broadcasting Hall of Fame
Finally, this week, WTRF’s Sports Director Scott Nolte has added another Hall of Fame to his list, this time it’s the West Virginia Broadcasting Hall of Fame.
Nolte has worked at WTRF-TV7 since August 1993, serving as Sports Director since April 1996.
During his tenure, TV7 has won numerous awards including “Outstanding Sports Operation,” “Best Regularly Scheduled Sportscast” and “Best Play-by-Play” in both West Virginia and Ohio.
