HANCOCK COUNTY, W.Va. (WTRF) - The Lynn Murray Memorial Library is currently accepting donations of food, clothes and personal hygiene items for our active-duty military members.
All donated items must be travel appropriate with many donating travel size hand sanitizers, soaps, toothbrushes and toothpastes, dental floss, deodorants and other hygiene products.
Some food items being donated include tuna packets, crackers, and other easy to travel with snacks.
Library Director Connie Doughty says this is just one small thing they can do, for all our military members do for us.
“Things that would be easy enough to, like take on an airplane, you know, just the smaller sizes items. A lot of times we'll have people who will send over puzzles, they'll send over magazines. Right now, we also have a group who's working on making the plarn mats.”

Doughty says the Yellow Ribbon Girls are stopping down at the library on June 12 to pick up all the donations.
If you’re interested in donating, you can drop items off at the library located at 625 Railroad Street in Chester.
